Collages

 Connection - 

          When I think of connection, I think about bridges, and how the entire world connects with each other VIA train, bridge, plane, even through social net working like Facebook or, Instagram. I also think about how people connect with one another on many levels, like emotional, physical, mentally, beliefs, religions etc... Finally i also reference to a chain, because a chain is a huge representation of connection, its a literal representation, and a figurative representation, because chains could be a representation of a forced connection, I.E "she's my ole ball and chain". 

 Materials -

          When I first visited my site I right away noticed the HUGE volume of brick being used in the area. And when i think about brick i start to think about LEGO's because they resemble bricks so much. I also saw a lot of cement and wood. So in my collage i started to look at these materials being used in very different, more "organic" ways. 

 Building Typology -

          When I did my site analysis I saw that for such an artistic neighborhood, with many schools, it lacks a place for artist. Also with so many schools, especially schools like mine dedicated to arts, as a student I know i would love to have a place to go and work and not have to stop once I get home. So my buildings typology is somewhat of an artist dorm building, where you would have space for your art of choice conveniently.
